Tamaki Patel is a professional artist working primarily as A Scroll Painter applying the technique of Mughal miniature painting and China Porcelain painting. In addition to her visual art practice she is a member of Institute of Tourist Guiding (MITG).
Born in Sasebo (Nagasaki) Japan in 1953 and married to Indian person in 1977. She has a diverse experiences working within the arts.
In 2002, she started to take a great interest in China Porcelain painting and studied for next 6 years under private tutors. She has participated in workshops in Meissen (Germany), Herend (Hungary) for further training in China painting during those years.
She qualified as China Porcelain painter from The City and Guilds of London Institute in 2008.
During early 2000, During her visit to India, she was fascinated by Mughal Miniature painting. The beauty of its intricate, colourful illuminations and scene. Her life changing experience came when she encountered with Ramu Ramdev who was Master painter of Jaipur Court in India.
Tamaki was mentored by him for the next 5 years.
In 2018, she successfully completed Pre-Foundation course in Art at Morley College and in 2019 she successfully completed Oil painting Level 2 at Chelsea College of Arts.
Her Art forms are under the subtitle "Peace and Harmony", bringing the beauty of different cultures based on the Buddhist principle of celebrating "The Dignity of Life ".
